Children Are, Already, Being Trafficked Out of Haiti

Child traffickers wasted no time in Haiti, in the wake of her devastating earthquake.

Below, Haiti’s prime minister has confirmed to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that in the wake of the earthquake, living children are being trafficked for, among other things, for their organs. While children left without parents should be adopted, the international community must do more to put an end to child trafficking in Haiti (and around the world).

Worldwide, it is estimated that somewhere between 700,000 and four million women, children and men are trafficked each year, and no region is unaffected.
