I couldn’t believe this…so I took a picture. All I could say is What The Fuck Footaction! I saw this add in one of their New York City locations. I just can’t reconcile how this ad campaign was conceived, produced and realized by any company. I’ve seen tacky before, but this…you decide.

  1. Whats deeper than who “conceived it and realized” this campaign is who are the parents who eff’ing allowed it? I dont put corporation in business for profit at any cost above this. I would like to ask the parents WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. WTF is correct. This is on some Jon Banay Ramsey foolishness. Secondly, but most importantly, this sends so many appalling messages to our youth. How many little girls are going to pass by that ad and say, “Mommy, I wanna dress like that!” Not a good look Footaction. Thanks again for contributing to the plethora of horrible images that distort our youth’ s image of self.

  3. I’ve seen worse… Besides, it’s creepy cute.
I’m sure they thought it was chic and hip.

Reminds me of the Little-Miss America pagents.

Like I said… Creepy-cute, but not to be taken so seriously.

  4. Wow! This is really shocking. I can’t believe that the parents of these babies would sell them out like this. With all of the craziness going on with craigslist and you tube, i can’t for the life of me understand how an ad exec gave this the green light. Not that i shop at Foot Action but I will let others know not to support this business!

  5. It’s funny (and not in a good way) how people are reacting to this post. So far, on this blog and other social networks i’ve posted this add on, feelings have been divided…by race. am sure you can draw your own conclusions…I still think it’s disgusting. There’s nothing wrong with emulating Beyonce (if that was what they were trying to do) or hip-hop luminaries. But why pick the sleaziest ways to represent our children when there are hundreds of tasteful images of these artists we could choose from (this month’s Vogue, for instance, has a beautiful picture of Beyonce gracing its cover)…Perhaps, people are so used to seeing our images lynched on television shows like _____ (you fill in the blank, there are plenty to choose from) and in the media that people have become desensitized to sexualizing us…so I guess this add was a natural progression in the spirit of.
